A story of passion for the mountains

Zlatorog Grand Resort & Spa opened in 2019 with a vision — to create a five-star mountain sanctuary that respects nature while offering absolute luxury. Our name comes from the legendary Slovenian chamois Zlatorog, a symbol of purity, freedom and the mountain spirit.

Built with local materials — spruce wood façades, stone walls from the Julian Alps — Zlatorog Resort is a harmonious part of the landscape that surrounds it. Every corner of the hotel is designed with love for nature and a passion for detail.

Today, Zlatorog welcomes guests from across Europe and the world who seek peace, luxury and an authentic mountain experience.

The Heart of the Julian Alps

Kranjska Gora is an alpine village in north-west Slovenia, surrounded by some of the most beautiful mountains in the Alps. Our hotel stands at 835m altitude, with direct access to ski slopes and hiking trails.
